ICT Self - Reflection
This has been a very rewarding assessment to complete. Although at first I was very nervous and unsure how I was going to tackle this assessment, I told myself to breath and take it one step at a time. First I did a little networking and asked fellow students which programs or websites they have used, Weebly came highly recommended from a couple of students. As I began working on my presentation I found that the program was easy to use and my presentation looked amazing. It got me to thinking how easy this would be for students to use in the classroom to present their work.
Technology is a little scary and I have never pushed myself to learn more than what I need to know to get me through. I am now happy to say that I will give anything a try, and love the creativity and sense of accomplishment you get when you look back at something you have created. I feel more confident in tackling these types of tasks, not only keeping my skills up to date but to use these skills in the classroom and pass on my knowledge to my students to further enhance their ICT skills so they can be successful in this ever changing society.
Finding and summarising 10 reading articles was a little daunting, where to start! I knew that I wanted to concentrate on the focus of ICT and literacy in our ever changing society. I tackled it by looking at the selected reading and text book readings to get an idea of what types of readings I should be looking for and took it from there. There were so many great articles out there, I chose readings that I thought best represented the use of ICT's and literacy and how their use is changing the way we teach literacy.
